Millbrook has hosted Makita’s dealer training for the first time. Makita, a leading manufacturer of power tools, has recently launched a number of new products to the market, and needed an eye-catching location with great facilities to meet with dealers and to demonstrate its equipment.
Originally attracted by the availability of a track experience, Makita Marketing Manager Kevin Brannigan says it was the excellent customer service that brought them to the site. “The team were really helpful and accommodating, and the venue was just the right size and the right place. It was very different to anything we had done before so was a nice change from our usual type of venue.”
The team had displays and products in Pod, and used a back room for presentations and training, drilling into a number of issues for the industry. The team also had vehicles kitted out with concrete drills, cordless trimmers, cordless combi drills and a host of other new gadgets. The vehicles were fitted with work benches so that guests could try out the tools for themselves.
“Our guests were certainly curious about the venue”, says Kevin, “but we were delighted with how the day went.”
Nicola Vance-Lousada, Business Development Manager at Millbrook said, “Our venues are very much blank canvas, and we regularly welcome a range of companies from various industries onsite. It was great to welcome Makita to Pod, and we are pleased that they and their guests had such a fantastic day.”
